WASHINGTON, D.C. – Triumph Motorcycles America Ltd. is recalling certain model-year 2013 Trophy SE motorcycles because, due to a design flaw, the left-hand center stand mount may fracture, the NHTSA announced.
The recall, No. 13V608000, affects motorcycles manufactured from June 1, 2012, through Feb. 28, 2013. About 416 vehicles are affected, Triumph told NHTSA.
If the center mount fractures, it will not provide adequate support for the center stand while the vehicle is parked, the OEM noted.
Triumph is notifying owners. Dealers are asked to install a new center stand bracket to the left-hand side of the frame. According to NHTSA, the manufacturer had not provided a notification schedule by press time.
